BPD presents its very first ESG strategy: Let's make impact!
BPD provides an affordable home for everyone. That is and will remain our social responsibility. More than ever before, we link this ambition to the major challenges of our time. These are physical challenges in the areas of energy, nature and landscape. But also social tasks such as creating inclusive living environments, participation and facilitating meetings. BPD has the ambition to contribute to these challenges. The very first BPD ESG strategy sets out the focus areas in which we want to make a measurable impact in the coming years. These are in the areas of sustainability (Environmental), social impact (Social) and good corporate governance and transparency (Governance). Impact areas and goals are divided at three levels: area level, building level and organisational level.
One strategy for the Netherlands and Germany
BPD's ESG strategy applies to all our activities in the Netherlands and Germany, except for BPD Woningfonds, which makes transparent in a separate way how it meets the ambitious standards that apply in the real estate and investment world. The ESG strategy is regularly evaluated and adjusted if necessary. This way we ensure that we are in line with the latest relevant developments, trends, and best practices.
